Wow, this 9 piece band is amazing, and soooo groovy. Check out the opening cut. A bit of TOP influence here amongst others. Second track called 'rocco' maybe named after TOP's bass player? I wrote to them, and hopefully can get a copy of it, since it's out of stock at this place.

Innit! Yeah funkydrummer, I've just been cruising cdbaby recently checking everything out and there's always some amazing music on there. I just ordered 10 CD's from them last night, comes out so cheap, half price compared to our crazy UK prices.
Anyway, all I wanna do right now is play with a band like this. What fun that would be! Bit more practise, and then some phone calls I think, hehe.

Would you say this drum sound fits into the category of "That Funky Sound?" That is very tight snare (punchy), tight hats, thumping BD, tighter toms (10 or 12).
On the first few cuts, the snare sounds acoustic then it gets more machine-like until the last cut.
Is it possible to get that snare sound w/o all the effects Live with head & tuning combinations?
